How to Put Two Videos Side by Side in InShot?
To put two videos side by side in InShot, follow these steps.
- Open InShot and Start a New Project: Begin by launching the InShot app on your device. Once you’re in the app, tap on the Video option to create a new video project. Then, tap the New Project button to begin. You will be prompted to select the videos you want to use. Choose the two videos from your gallery that you wish to place side by side.
- Import Videos: After selecting the videos, they will be imported into the app and placed on the timeline at the bottom of the screen. The timeline shows the order of your clips, and you can edit these clips further if needed. Once the videos are imported, you will be able to see them on the screen, and you can proceed to arrange them as desired.
- Use the Split Screen Tool: To position the two videos side by side, you need to use the Canvas feature. Tap on the Canvas icon, which is typically represented by a square with arrows pointing in opposite directions (located on the toolbar). From the options that appear, select Split Screen. This feature allows you to divide the screen into multiple sections, so you can position your videos side by side or in other creative layouts.
- Adjust the Layout: After selecting the split screen option, you will be presented with several layout options. These layouts define how the videos will be arranged (for example, horizontally side by side, vertically stacked, etc.). You can experiment with the different styles available, but for a side-by-side effect, look for a layout that splits the screen into two equal parts, horizontally or vertically. Once you choose the layout, the videos will automatically adjust to fit the split-screen format.
- Fine-tune the Positioning: After choosing the layout, you can further adjust the positioning of the videos. You can tap and drag each video to resize or reposition them within their designated space. InShot allows you to move the videos to different areas on the screen, and you can also scale them by pinching and zooming. This ensures that both videos are positioned exactly the way you want them to be, either side by side or in a different arrangement based on your chosen layout.
- Preview and Export: Once you’ve arranged the videos to your liking, it’s time to preview your work. Tap the play button to check how the videos look when played together. If everything looks good, tap the Save button in the top-right corner of the screen to export your video. You can choose the resolution and format for saving. Once the video is saved, it will be available in your gallery, ready to share.
These steps should help you easily place two videos side by side in InShot, allowing for a split-screen effect that can enhance your video presentation.
