How to Blur Video in Kinemaster?

To blur a video in Kinemaster, follow these steps.

1. Open Kinemaster and Start a New Project

To begin, launch the Kinemaster app on your device. If you don’t have it installed, download it from the Play Store (for Android) or App Store (for iOS). Once the app is open, tap the “+” icon to create a new project. Select the aspect ratio for your video depending on your needs (e.g., 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Instagram Stories). You can also open an existing project by selecting it from the home screen.

2. Import Your Video

After setting up your project, the next step is to add the video you want to blur. Tap the “Media” button in the top-right corner of the screen. This will open your media library. Browse through your folders and select the video you want to edit. Once selected, the video will appear in the timeline at the bottom of the screen, ready for editing.

3. Add a Blur Effect

To apply a blur effect to your video, tap on the video layer in the timeline to highlight it. Once selected, a menu will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. Scroll through the options and look for “Effects”, which is represented by a magic wand icon. Tap on it to open the effects library. Search for blur-related effects, such as “Gaussian Blur” or any other blur effect available. Select the desired effect, and it will be applied to your video. You will notice the effect appears as an additional layer in the timeline, which you can adjust further.

4. Adjust the Intensity

Once the blur effect is applied, you can customize its intensity. To do this, tap on the effect layer in the timeline. A settings panel will open, allowing you to modify the strength of the blur. For example, you can make it subtle or highly blurred depending on the desired outcome. Additionally, you can adjust where the blur appears by resizing or repositioning the effect layer on the timeline. This step is especially helpful if you only want the blur to last for a specific duration or apply to certain sections of the video.

5. Export Your Edited Video

Once you’re satisfied with the blur effect and any additional edits, it’s time to save your work. Tap the Export icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Choose the resolution and frame rate for your video, such as 1080p at 30fps, depending on your project’s requirements. After selecting your export settings, tap Export, and Kinemaster will process and save your video to your device’s storage. You can now share it on social media or use it as needed.

Optional: Blurring Specific Areas

If you need to blur only a specific portion of the video (such as a face, license plate, or sensitive information), you can use a masking or overlay technique. Add a duplicate layer of the video, apply the blur effect to it, and then use the Mask tool to confine the blur to the required area. Adjust the position and size of the mask to cover the desired part of the video. This allows for precise blurring.

By following these steps, you can easily add a professional blur effect to your videos in Kinemaster.
