How to Add Effects in VN Video Editor?

To add effects in VN Video Editor, follow these steps.

  1. Open VN Video Editor and Start a New Project
Begin by launching the VN Video Editor on your device. If you haven’t created a project yet, tap on the “+” button to start a new project. You’ll be asked to select the video aspect ratio, like 16:9 for widescreen or 9:16 for vertical videos, depending on the platform you’re editing for. Once you choose the aspect ratio, proceed to import your video clips.
  2. Import Your Video Clips
After selecting the aspect ratio, tap the “Import” option to browse through your device’s gallery or file storage. Select the video clips you want to work with. You can import multiple clips if needed, and they will be placed on the timeline in the order you select. VN Video Editor supports multiple tracks, so you can layer clips, music, text, and effects as needed.
  3. Select the Clip You Want to Add Effects To
Once your video is imported into the timeline, tap on the specific video clip where you want to apply the effect. This will highlight the clip and bring up a toolbar at the bottom of the screen with different editing options. These options include basic functions like cut, split, and effects. For adding visual changes or enhancements, tap the “Effects” option.
  4. Browse and Choose Effects
After tapping “Effects,” you will be presented with a range of available visual effects. These effects are organized into different categories like Basic, Camera, Light, Color, and Special.
    • Basic effects include simple adjustments like fades or transitions.
    • Camera effects might add elements like shake, zoom, or focus adjustments.
    • Light effects manipulate the lighting, such as adding lens flares or adjusting brightness.
    • Color effects adjust the color grading of your video, such as creating a sepia tone, black-and-white effect, or boosting saturation.
You can explore these categories by scrolling horizontally. Tap on any effect you find interesting to apply it to your selected clip.
  5. Adjust the Duration and Intensity of the Effect
Once you’ve chosen an effect, it will automatically be applied to the video clip. You can then fine-tune the effect by adjusting its duration and intensity.
    • To change the duration, drag the edge of the effect layer in the timeline, making it longer or shorter, depending on how long you want the effect to appear.
    • For intensity adjustments, many effects offer sliders. For example, a color effect might have a slider for adjusting saturation, brightness, or contrast. Experiment with these sliders to find the desired effect level.
  6. Preview the Video and Confirm the Effect
After applying the effect and making any adjustments, it’s important to preview the video to see how the effect looks in real-time. Tap the play button to watch the clip with the effect applied. This allows you to ensure the effect fits the vibe you want for the video. If you’re happy with how it looks, confirm your changes by tapping the checkmark or “Apply” button, depending on your version of VN Video Editor. If you’re not satisfied, you can easily tap the undo button or try a different effect.
  7. Layer Multiple Effects
You are not limited to applying just one effect at a time. VN Video Editor allows you to apply multiple effects to a single clip. You can combine different types of effects—such as a light effect with a color effect—by repeating the steps above for each effect. Each new effect will be applied in sequence. If you need to adjust the timing or intensity of different effects, you can edit their individual layers on the timeline. You can also adjust when each effect begins and ends, giving you full control over how they play out.

VN Video Editor offers flexibility when it comes to effects, and by adjusting the settings for duration, intensity, and layering, you can create a polished and dynamic video.
