How to Add Fonts in PicsArt App?

Adding custom fonts to the PicsArt app is a simple process. Follow these steps.

1. Download the Font

The first step is to find a custom font that you want to use in your design. There are many font websites available where you can find and download fonts. Some popular sources include DaFont and Google Fonts. These websites provide a wide variety of fonts, from decorative styles to more professional and clean options. Once you’ve found a font that you like, make sure to download it in a compatible format. The most common file types for fonts are .TTF (TrueType Font) and .OTF (OpenType Font). Download the font file to your device.

2. Extract the Font (if needed)

If the font is packaged in a ZIP file, you’ll need to extract it before you can use it. ZIP files are often used to bundle multiple font files or to compress the font into a smaller size. To extract the font, you can use any file manager or unzipping tool available on your phone. Once the ZIP file is opened, locate the font file(s) inside, and ensure you extract the .TTF or .OTF files, which are the actual font files you’ll need.

3. Locate the PicsArt Fonts Folder

After you’ve successfully downloaded and extracted the font, the next step is to place it in the correct folder on your device so that PicsArt can recognize it. You need to locate the PicsArt Fonts folder, which can be found in your phone’s internal storage. To do this, open a File Manager or File Explorer app on your phone. Navigate to the folder path: Internal Storage > PicsArt > Fonts. If you can’t find the Fonts folder, it’s okay—you can create a new folder and name it Fonts to store the custom fonts.

4. Add the Font to PicsArt

Once the font file is in the correct folder, it’s time to add it to the PicsArt app. Open the PicsArt app on your device, and start a new project or open an existing one. To add text, tap on the Text tool, which allows you to insert text into your design. When you select the text tool, a menu of fonts will appear, including default fonts provided by the app. To access your custom fonts, tap on the Fonts option. From there, look for a section called My Fonts or something similar. Your downloaded fonts should appear in this section, and you can select them to use in your project.

5. Restart PicsArt (if needed)

If the custom font doesn’t appear immediately after you’ve added it to the folder, you may need to restart the PicsArt app. Closing and reopening the app ensures that the font is properly loaded into the app’s font library. Once the app restarts, your custom font should be available in the font selection menu under My Fonts or a similar category.

Tips:

  • Legal Use: Make sure that the font you are downloading is free to use, especially if you plan to use it for commercial purposes. Many font creators offer licenses for personal or commercial use, so it’s important to check the terms of use before applying the font to your designs.
  • Font Compatibility: Always ensure the font you download is compatible with mobile apps, which is why .TTF or .OTF files are the most reliable formats.

By following these steps, you should be able to add any custom font to your PicsArt projects and use it to enhance your designs. If you encounter any issues during the process, restarting the app or checking the folder path can often help resolve them.
