How to Cut Videos in Kinemaster?

To cut videos in Kinemaster, follow these steps.

1. Open Kinemaster

First, launch the Kinemaster app on your smartphone or tablet. If you don’t have the app yet, download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on your device. Once it’s installed, open the app to begin editing your video.

2. Create a New Project

When you first open Kinemaster, you’ll be greeted with the main screen. To start editing a new video, tap the “+” (plus) button, typically located at the center or bottom of the screen. This will prompt you to choose an aspect ratio for your project (e.g., 16:9 for YouTube or 9:16 for Instagram Stories). Select the appropriate aspect ratio for your video, and the editing timeline will appear.

3. Import the Video

Now that you’ve created a new project, the next step is to import the video you want to edit. Tap the “Media” button, usually located on the left side of the screen. This will open your device’s gallery or file manager, allowing you to browse and select the video file you want to work with. Once selected, your video will be added to the timeline, which is the long horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen, where all your video clips and edits appear.

4. Select the Video Track

Once your video is in the timeline, you can begin making edits. Tap on the video clip in the timeline to select it. When it’s selected, you’ll notice the clip is highlighted with a border around it. This shows you that the clip is active and ready for editing.

5. Split the Video

To cut the video, you need to decide where you want to make the split. Move the playhead (the white vertical line that moves across the timeline) to the point where you want to cut the video. You can drag the playhead manually or tap the timeline to position it more precisely. Once the playhead is in place, tap the scissors icon at the top of the screen. A menu will pop up, and from there, select “Split at Playhead.” This action divides the video into two separate clips at the location of the playhead. You can now work with each segment individually.

6. Trim or Delete

After splitting your video, you may want to delete unwanted sections. To do this, tap on the portion of the video that you wish to remove. It will become highlighted. Once selected, tap the trash can icon, and the unwanted clip will be deleted. Alternatively, you can trim your clips by dragging the edges of the clips left or right to shorten them. This is useful if you want to remove small sections at the beginning or end of the video.

7. Export the Edited Video

After you’ve made all your edits, it’s time to export the final version of your video. Tap the export icon in the top-right corner of the screen, typically represented by a box with an arrow pointing upward. You will be prompted to select your export settings, such as video resolution and frame rate. After you’ve configured the settings, tap “Export” to begin rendering and saving your video. Once the process is complete, you can choose to share the video directly or save it to your device’s gallery.

By following these steps, you should be able to cut and edit your video effectively in Kinemaster. Let me know if you have any specific questions about any of the steps!
